帮网友代购了不少linode，很少听说过linode vps被入侵当做垃圾邮件转发服务器的。此VPS其实是我帮忙搭建的环境，当时搞的是webmin，当时跟网友说的是等他搬完家后，我再做个定期备份和基础安全，后来因为某些原因，把基础安全这个事儿给忘记了。看来网络基础安全还是必须要做的，因为互联网上，不停的有人在尝试服务器的root密码。

遇到服务器被入侵当做垃圾邮件转发服务器后，怎么处理比较好呢？以下是linode官方客服的建议，其实和我第一反应是一样的，服务器被入侵后排查很困难，还不如索性备份好数据，重新安装系统。当然重装一定要做好服务器基础安全。

今天帮网友安装了一款linode512，fremont机房，偶然间发现linode的母鸡cpu型号和我之前看的L5520型号不一样，我以为linode的VPS所有配置都一样呢，看来linode的母鸡配置稍微有些许差别，我猜测是由于硬件更新换代的原因，某些cpu已经停产了，所以要更换新的产品了。

上图是之前的L5520.

发完贴，群里网友又提供了一个cpu截图，发现是E5-2630L，更验证了我的猜测：原来linode的cpu可以不一样。

Just noticed from your front page that the 768 plans have been dropped, but I couldn’t find anything on your blog about this.

Is this a permanent thing?

Hello Mark,

Yes, the 768 and 1536 plans are gone from the lineup. Existing Linode 768s and 1536s are grandfathered – meaning nothing will change for them and they will be fully supported.

We did this to simplify our offering, eliminate the oddball plans from our lineup, to reduce complexity and overhead on our end, and because the unpopularity of those plans made this an obvious move.

以上是linode官方bbs客户的提问，以及linode客服的回答，其实我也注意有两天了，细心的朋友可以看看linode的官方网站，他们在首页把VPS套餐做了少许变动，较少了768方案和1536方案。至于减少的原因跟我猜测的差不多，因为768和1536这两个VPS方案用的人少，所以为了精简VPS套餐方案，干脆给取消算了。那之前老客户咋办呢？老客户继续用着呗，新开的VPS就没有768和1536方案了。

很多搞外贸的朋友买了linode VPS，他们不少人问我linode用Magento咋样？Magento咋安装？鉴于很多朋友缺乏必备的linux知识，而且对linux命令感到恐惧，yqf.me本次替某网友安装了webmin(virtualmin)面板，然后在此基础上安装了Magento，安装的过程蛮顺利的，下面大致说下linode安装magento的过程：

1.了解Magento的安装系统要求：

• Supported Operating Systems:
  • Linux x86, x86-64
• Supported Web Servers:
  • Apache 1.3.x
  • Apache 2.0.x
  • Apache 2.2.x
  • Nginx (starting from Magento 1.7 Community and 1.12 Enterprise versions)
• Supported Browsers:
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 and above
  • Mozilla Firefox 3.5 and above
  • Apple Safari 5 and above on Mac only
  • Google Chrome 7 and above
  • Adobe Flash browser plug-in should be installed
• PHP Compatibility:
  • 5.2.13 – 5.3.15
  • Required extensions:
    • PDO_MySQL
    • simplexml
    • mcrypt
    • hash
    • GD
    • DOM
    • iconv
    • curl
    • SOAP (if Webservices API is to be used)
  • Safe_mode off
  • Memory_limit no less than 256Mb (preferably 512)
• MySQL:
  • 4.1.20 or newer
  • InnoDB storage engine
• SSL:
  • If HTTPS is used to work in the admin, SSL certificate should be valid. Self-signed SSL certificates are not supported
• Server – hosting – setup:
  • Ability to run scheduled jobs (crontab) with PHP 5
  • Ability to override options in .htaccess files

2.参考centos5安装webmin/virtualmin，含升级php，升级php后手动更新下数据库，mysql_upgrade -p 这步需要留意。

3.利用magento官方提供的环境检验.php文件验证系统是否具备安装magento的要求：去http://soft.linode.im/tools/magento-check.zip将magento-check.zip下载加压到网站根目录去验证即可，以下是我的验证结果：

4.通过ssh方式安装magento：

安装完整下载版方式：

1. wget http://www.magentocommerce.com/downloads/assets/1.7.0.2/magento-1.7.0.2.tar.gz
2. tar -zxvf magento-1.7.0.2.tar.gz
3. mv magento/* magento/.htaccess .
4. chmod -R o+w media var
5. chmod o+w app/etc
   建议删除源文件：rm -rf magento/ magento-1.7.0.2.tar.gz

接下来就可以通过网页，域名访问来安装magento了。

对于网络条件好的朋友，也可以通过网络一步一步安装：

1. wget http://www.magentocommerce.com/downloads/assets/1.7.0.0/magento-downloader-1.7.0.0.tar.gz
2. tar -zxvf magento-downloader-1.7.0.0.tar.gz
3. rm -rf magento-downloader-1.7.0.0.tar.gz
   接下来就通过网络http://www.yourwebsite.com/downloader.php来搞定。

5.以下是安装截图：

截止2012年12月6日，linode vps稳定运行272天了，目标是365天。

截止2012年11月15日，linode vps稳定运行251天了，目标是365天。

截止2012年10月17日，linode vps稳定运行222天了，目标是365天。

截止2012年10月9日，linode vps稳定运行214天了，刚好凑够个情人节。

截止2012年9月20日，linode vps稳定运行195天了，快接近200了。

自己给自己找了个事儿做，每过段时间，大概一周吧，把某3人合租的linode vps在线时间更新下，以彰显linode的工业级别稳定性。

截止2012年8月5日，linode vps稳定运行149天7小时16分，差不多半年了。

截止2012年8月25日，linode vps稳定运行169天了，快接近半年了。

如上，是按照linode管理后台Rebuild后默认的磁盘分区。用fdisk -l查看下，一共就1个分区，一个是/dev/xvda，20.9G，一个是swap空间，536M。

fdisk /dev/xvda，显示磁盘信息，由最上面的Disk /dev/xvda doesn’t contain a valid partition table可知，不显示有效的磁盘分区表信息。按下m，看看fdisk帮助信息：

l列出磁盘分区类型：

下面来给/dex/xvda分3个区，两个主分区，一个逻辑分区，其实蛮简单的，参数n表示新增分区，参数d表示删除分区。partprobe强制内核重新找分区表，分区完毕不需要重启VPS。

到此/dev/xvda被分成3个区。接下来需要格式化分区。以上仅仅用fdisk命令练习磁盘分区操作。
